We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spray Painter / Powder Coater to join their team in Archerfield
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7am-3.30pm Pay rate: From $40/hr to $47.50/hr depending on experience and qualifications ASAP start available Metal surface painter responsibilities include: painting and prepping, including mixing paints, sanding, spraying paint and possibly some grit blasting from time to time.
Duties: Follow process framework Co-ordinating work schedules with leading hand and achieving production targets Initial, in process and final inspection on all product to company QA standards and specified standards Instruct trainees if required Ensure all job sheets and inspections are fully completed, signed off and returned to the workshop office Waste management Operating in the paintshop Set up application guns Selection of paint from paint store Follow all processes and procedures Qualifications: Painting / Auto Body or Surface Finishing Trade certificate Knowledge and expertise in metal finish and coatings Understanding of Lean Business Principles Experience within the steel or sheet metal industry would be considered highly advantageous
This position will commence as casual with a view to permanent transition after 3 months for the successful applicant.
