Employment Type: Temporary Full TimePosition Classification: Career Medical Off Gde 1Remuneration: - 168166Hours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: REQ525382What you'll be doing The Career Medical Officer (CMO) working as the Night Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is on site to respond to situations in the units that nursing staff are requesting assistance for.
This position is available from 3 February 2025 to 1 February 2027.
Standard Hours of the night duty are 22:30 – 08:30.
All services operate within a multidisciplinary team-based environment and the CMO will be working with and reporting to consultant psychiatrists.
The clinical work will involve working within a multi-disciplinary context and conducting assessments and planning treatment and/or discharge in accordance with the Mental Health Act, (2007) NSW.
Supervision will be provided primarily by the Macquarie Hospital Clinical Director.
The DMO will receive a detailed handover from the registrar they are relieving at the start of each shift and will provide a similar handover to the DMO starting in the next morning.
MBBS or equivalent and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
