Internal Auditor/Quality Assurance Officer (Legal)Gold Migration Lawyers is a leading incorporated legal practice specialising in migration solutions for individuals.
With offices in the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs, our firm is expanding, and we are currently seeking an Internal Auditor/Quality Assurance Officer to join our Melbourne CBD team.
The Opportunity: This role is ideal for experienced immigration lawyers who are seeking a shift away from case management and client-facing responsibilities.
Additionally, it's a perfect fit for professionals with backgrounds in internal auditing or quality assurance, particularly from other disciplines, who want to apply their skills in a legal environment.
Duties & Responsibilities: Review submitted visa applications in accordance with our quality standards.Provide quality feedback to the lawyers directly regarding their submitted visa applications.Collaborate with the lawyers to boost the quality of submitted visa applications.Ensure all lawyers adhere to the Firm's case management policy in all aspects.Review initial email correspondence between lawyers and clients to ensure all communications meet the Firm's quality standards and contain correct advice and instructions.Review draft legal submissions, including country report submissions.Review onboarding of all new clients to ensure compliance policies are maintained.Report all review and audit findings to the Firm within an agreed upon timeframe and manner.Maintain compliance with the relevant legislation and statutory reporting requirements.Ad-hoc duties as required.Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience as an Internal Auditor or Quality Assurance Officer is preferred.Experience working within a legal practice is desirable.Relevant tertiary education in Law and/or Immigration will be highly regarded.Strong knowledge of the Uniform Professional Law is favourable.Superb attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong admin, organisation and time-management skills.Friendly, positive and TEAM-focused.What's on Offer: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5 pm, working from the office.This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a reputable Law Firm.Friendly, professional work environment.Beautiful modern office looking over the CBD.End-of-Trip facilities.Conveniently positioned and accessible via public transport.We are an equal opportunity employer; our team is diverse, and we expect it to become more diverseSchedule: Office-based, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
