The Senior Azure Data Consultant is responsible for:
Architect and implement comprehensive, cutting-edge data solutions using Microsoft Azure and Fabric technologiesProvide thought leadership to clients on the Microsoft data ecosystem and strategyEngage directly with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into innovative technical solutionsParticipate in workshops and technical deep-dives to uncover opportunities for data-driven transformationParticipate in client-facing presentations and proposals, articulating complex technical solutions to both technical and executive audiencesMentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learningActively participate in the broader data engineering community, representing the company at industry events and fostering relationships with key Microsoft partnersDrive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies, incorporating lessons learned from client engagements to enhance service offeringsStay at the forefront of emerging Microsoft technologies, actively experimenting with new features and capabilitiesContribute to the development of proprietary accelerators and frameworksAt Cognizant, we're committed to your professional growth.

About you (skills / experience) Technology Consulting at Cognizant involves exciting, fast-paced work at the cutting edge of innovation.
You'll be dealing with a variety of stakeholders, from C-suite executives to technical teams, as you drive transformative change.
The ideal candidate will possess a powerful combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.
You should be passionate about data and have a proven track record of delivering successful, large-scale data projects that have had significant business impact.

Base capability requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud-based Microsoft data technologiesDeep understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud data capabilities such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other cutting-edge Azure data services.Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components and proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using these components.Proven ability to architect data solutions in a consulting or client-facing environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in and lead cross-functional teams.Experience/Exposure with other major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus, enabling multi-cloud strategy development.Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)Our Benefits: Joining Cognizant will give you the opportunity to learn and collaborate with some of the most talented people in the industry, while having your finger on the pulse of emerging industry trends and working on the cutting edge of technology in your field of expertise.
