An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and energetic professional to join our team.
The Enterprise Strategy Group is responsible for developing Queensland Corrective Services' enterprise-wide strategies and strategy development frameworks to achieve the organisation's strategic objectives and priorities.
The group works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies to manage future demand, capacity and core capability.
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Strategy Group, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of a number of critical enterprise strategy and planning activities and initiatives.
In this role you will: Lead and participate in teams to deliver key enterprise strategy deliverables within agreed timeframes.Provide specialist advice and recommendations that support the ongoing design, development, implementation and review of a range of enterprise level strategies, plans and frameworks.Conduct research and analysis autonomously and embed an evidence-informed and data-driven analytical approach to inform strategy development, including identifying measures of success.Establish, support and maintain QCS advisory and/or working groups to guide the development and implementation of enterprise strategies.Generate progress reports, correspondence, briefings and submissions for various audiences regarding the development, progress and delivery of key ESG projects and strategies, issues and core business as directed.Provide high level advice for the Director, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners or Commissioner and the Minister in relation to emerging and significant strategic issues, and initiatives.Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, with the goal of ensuring strategic objectives translate to improved frontline service delivery and regular progress updates are maintained.Negotiate with other Government agencies and key stakeholders as required to support the achievement of organisational objectives.Design and embed agency planning processes including evaluation and review mechanisms.The essential requirements for this role are: Demonstrated experience in thinking critically to develop enterprise/organisational level strategies, including the ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and with key stakeholders, to achieve strategic organisational objectives.Ability to align group work to organisational objectives and consider wider organisational context when making decisions.Proven high level consultative, communication, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of reform, change and evolution.Demonstrated ability to prepare and be accountable for high-quality reports, research, review and analyse information, identify issues and problem solve to assist decision-making with the ability to present findings to management, to ensure effective organisational outcomes.Positive workplace behaviours with the ability to embrace change and display optimism in the face of complexity and ambiguity.Ability to pursue opportunities for growth and model professional and ethical behaviour, able to self-manage, set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines.Demonstrated research and analytical skills for investigating issues and analysing trends associated with correctional practice.Current knowledge of Government and QCS strategic policies, as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory requirements.Please refer to the Role Description and Applicant Information Guide available below for further information on the requirements and duties of this role.
