We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our dynamic Head Office Finance team in Sydney CBD.
This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) where you'll play a central role in managing all aspects of budgeting, planning, reporting, and variance analysis.
Reporting directly to the General Manager Finance, you will collaborate closely with Finance and Executive teams across our hospital network to drive strategic financial insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a detailed understanding of the key drivers impacting business performance and leverage this to prepare insightful commentary that succinctly outlines the key factors impacting business performance, particularly in respect of historical trends and variances to budget.Deliver finance board papers, including consolidated monthly P&L reporting with variance analysis, for Executive and Board meetings.Prepare and oversee the consolidated group weekly forecast and monthly CAPEX forecast.Lead and manage the annual budgeting process.Develop dashboards and visualisations using Microsoft Excel, a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) tool, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.Collaborate with Finance and Executive stakeholders to enhance financial strategy through improved data insights and streamlined reporting processes by implementing upgraded reporting tools and enhance reporting processes.Act as a key role in the implementation of new Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.Qualifications & ExperienceRequired CA or CPA qualified (or working towards), or equivalent qualification with 2-3 years' experience in financial management.Proven attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, Power Query, and report generation.Minimum of 2 years in an FP&A or similar finance role.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated team player with a proactive, problem-solving approach.Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.Preferred Demonstrated success in driving new initiatives and process improvements.Skilled in automating workflows to streamline processes and provide timely financial insights.Experience with CPM software (e.g., Solver, IBM Planning Analytics, CCH Tagetik) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Familiarity with collaboration and project planning tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Jira, Trello).Experience with Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) to drive efficiencies in data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.Prior FP&A experience in a healthcare or private hospital setting.What We Can Offer YouAs an Aurora Healthcare employee, some of the benefits you will receive includes discounted private health insurance, fitness passport for you and your family, hybrid and flexible work arrangements, opportunities for professional development, paid parental leave and the most important of all, working with a highly supportive national finance team.
