About the role

Rhinos Diesel Services are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Darwin, NT.
We repair a huge range of makes and types of Heavy Equipment in all parts of the NT and beyond as required.
We have various positions available; each position can be suited to match the candidates' experience and lifestyle requirements.
Our positions include - Field Service Mechanics, Workshop Mechanics, and Site Mechanics.
Each position can be preferred or combined to suit your needs and the company's workload.
All positions involve the diagnostic and repair of various types of heavy diesel-powered equipment used in the mining, construction, and marine industry.
Workshop positions also would benefit from Engine, Component, and Hydraulics reconditioning.

Hydraulic Cylinder Reconditioning
Field Service (Vehicle Supplied) Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm Occasional Site work (hours vary) Breakdowns repairs and maintenance
Remote field service jobs
Workshop work as required
After hours work shared between team as required
This is a full-time or casual role.
Our modern and clean workshop has all the tools and equipment to make the job safe and efficient.
Overhead crane, various gantry cranes, truck hoists, car hoists, hydraulic cylinder bench, track press, etc.
included is a well-equipped tool store making the job as easy as it can be.
Large workshop openings, high ceilings, and multiple big fans make for a comfortable climate to work in the tropics.
Our Field Service Vehicles are all modern and well equipped with toolboxes and fitted out with accessories.
What you'll be doing Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical componentsCarry out planned maintenanceCarry out breakdownsCollaborate with the wider team to ensure the efficient operation of the workshopContribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and proceduresWhat we're looking for Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle MechanicsMinimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the earthmoving industryStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and customer service skillsAble to share knowledge and experience with apprentices and lead by exampleIn addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including:
