Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeThis really is an exciting time to join Black Cat Syndicate Limited, as the company is moving at a rapid pace through development and into production, where you get to help shape, and play a part, in an up-and-coming gold mining company.Having commenced high-grade underground mining and processing plant refurbishment activities, the aim is to be pouring gold bars at Paulsens by the end of 2024.We are building a strong team of highly engaged and motivated individuals, who are committed to building a strong workplace culture making Black Cat a great company to work forIf this sounds like something you want to be involved in, we are now looking to find a motivated 'can do' Electrician to round out our Electrical Team in Processing.This position involves working at Paulsens Gold Mine, located in the Ashburton Basin of the Eastern Pilbara region, 180km west of Paraburdoo, on a 15/13 FIFO roster.About the OpportunityThe Fixed Plant Electrician is responsible for performing preventative, planned and breakdown electrical maintenance and statutory checks on the mill and associated infrastructure to ensure ongoing reliability and efficiency.Key accountabilities include:Perform calibration and testing of electrical instruments and control systems.Prepare isolation permits for major and minor plant and equipment outages.Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on equipment to identify faults and electrical malfunctions.Prepare and execute high voltage switching programs and isolations.Install new electrical systems, equipment, and instrumentation on systems.Working in a collaborative manner with Maintenance and Processing, with an expectation to have fun along the way, the Processing Team will together maximise the amount of scheduled maintenance, minimise the impact of unscheduled works and optimally utilise the processing plant to deliver gold.About YouIf you are an enthusiastic person who thinks outside the box, with an ability to fault find and problem-solve delivering effective outcomes, this opportunity is for you
You will need the following:Relevant Trade Certificate and current WA Electrical Licence.High Voltage Switching qualification and experience.Understanding of PLC and control communication systems.Practical experience in an electrical maintenance environment, including high voltage electrical systems, instrumentation and sound knowledge of the operation of mineral processing plants preferably gold, and associated infrastructure.Overall, we are seeking a positive and motivated 'can do' person, who is able to work in a team environment and autonomously.If you would like to know more about any of the above opportunity and to be part of this exciting opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
