Cleaner/ Restoration Technician

Steamatic is Australia's longest established and largest 24/7 restoration & cleaning company with over 30+ locations throughout Australia and growing each year.
Steamatic Tasmania is seeking positive, physically fit and confident team players who are motivated to provide an exemplary level of operational support to the business operations in Devonport with the ability to travel state-wide as required.
Reporting to the Regional Manager & Team Leaders, this role will be responsible for general cleaning & restoration duties as required.
You will be required to assist qualified technicians and perform but not be limited to the following tasks:
Specialised cleaning duties including carpet & rug cleaning, air duct cleaningEmergency flood services such as water extraction, contents and structural dryingFire, smoke & soot damage cleaning / remediationSmall scale demolition and mould remediationContents cleaning restorationLifting and assisting with furniture moving and content pack outsPreparation of field reports including risk assessments.The ideal candidate will have:
A strong work ethic & positive attitudeSelf-motivation with a strong desire to learn new skills - the capacity to "learn on the job".Very good communication & interpersonal skillsA reliable disposition & be able to work in a fast-paced environmentA desire to "do the job right" every time so that we maintain our market leadershipThe ability to work independently or as part of a team and display empathy towards our clientsThe opportunity to work outside normal business hours – on call situations will ariseA sound level of physical fitnessA current driver's licenseA solid understanding of attention to detail and capacity to complete set tasks thoroughlyStrong written and verbal communication skills.To pass national police security check and possess or be willing to apply for registration to work with vulnerable people (RWVP)Must be proficient in the use of iPads and associated applications.Experience in the cleaning industry, restoration, and/or trade-related skills are highly desirable but not essential.
