Customer IdentityOkta's Customer Identity Cloud (CIC), powered by Auth0 technology, is an easy to implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers.
We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world.
Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier 0 global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation.
The ProductThis role will focus on the core authentication flows - the pipeline application builders run on to give their end users the most capable and flexible way to get to their user accounts.
You will focus on expanding the existing end user experience and offering customers the ability to configure easy-to-extend authentication decisions.
You will directly contribute to feature sets that address the configuration, operation, and end-user experiences that our customers need to power the gateway into their applications.
The TeamYou will join a distributed and diverse team of designers supported by leadership and subject matter experts, as well as design and research peers with whom you can collaborate and share feedback.
You will also be part of a product team that includes Product Management and Engineering counterparts, and will have direct ownership and impact throughout the product development lifecycle.
We are looking for a designer who is a team player and works closely with engineers and product managers to solve complex problems.

You will have the opportunity to: Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineers, prioritizing features and improvements, facilitating design discussions, and providing feedback.Own your team's product design process from beginning to end.Define data and analytics to measure design solutions.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with the platform's capabilities and best practices.Identify trends in authentication and identity best practices across a variety of consumer and SaaS applications.Conduct research and communicate insights to help the team understand customer problems.Transform challenging workflows into simple, usable, and elegant experiences for developer personas.Share work early and often and seek constructive feedback from peers, product teams, and other stakeholders.Iterate solutions based on direct and indirect stakeholder feedback.Partner with Engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience.Work together with designers on other product teams to ensure consistency, improve quality, and contribute to our team processes and principles.Actively mentor junior designers by providing feedback on their design work and guiding their professional development.You might be a good fit for this role if you: Have experience building developer products that have user experiences spanning in-browser interfaces, application development environments, command-line interfaces, and APIs.Have experience spanning across designing modern authentication experiences and developer focused tools.Work cross-functionally with Product Managers and Engineers, prioritizing UX improvements, partnering on strategies for SDKs and developer tools, facilitating design discussions, and providing feedback.Have an advanced understanding of UI/UX/Visual design concepts and an exceptional eye for detail with a portfolio that showcases this understanding.Communicate early ideas through flows and low-fidelity sketches to facilitate discussions and get early feedback.Eager to explore new UX patterns and trends around end user authentication experiences.Know how to use qualitative and quantitative data to back up your design decisions, and suggest new research.Can work from scratch or within an existing design system, and know when to break out existing components to create new, extensible patterns instead.Know how to break big problems into smaller experiments to validate assumptions faster.Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills to help you collaborate with global stakeholders across the company.Thrive in a collaborative remote environment.Bonus: Familiarity or experience with modern front-end development practices, tooling and workflows.What you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee Amazing Benefits.Making Social Impact.Fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at Okta.Okta cultivates a dynamic work environment, providing the best tools, technology and benefits to empower our employees to work productively in a setting that best and uniquely suits their needs.
