The company is based on the Sunshine Coast and provides a range of financial and business advisory services.
They are renowned for providing a high level of professional quality and comprehensive services to their clients, specializing in accounting and tax compliance, tax planning, commercial & business planning, and bookkeeping services.
Due to continued company growth, they are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their successful accounting firm.

The Position...

In this position, you will be an excellent all-rounder Intermediate Accountant (or a Junior with experience working with individual tax returns) to work in a face-to-face tax preparation context.

The main responsibilities of this role include:
• Liaising with clients
• Dealing with the ATO and client inquiries and objections
• Preparation of Individual and Business tax returns (also BAS and IAS).
• Accessing the ATO Portal
• Providing basic tax-related client advice

The Ideal Candidate...

The ideal candidate will have the following:

A degree in AccountingA Diploma or Advanced Diploma in accounting or equivalent experienceH&R Block Tax Preparation course or similar completion (desirable)Experience with any tax preparation package.Sound understanding of taxation law principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work in a team environmentExperienced in using accounting software for end-to-end tax preparation.High organization skills as well as having the ability to work autonomously
