To support this, we are looking for an Aquatics Manager to lead and motivate our teams toward operational and commercial success at Acacia Ridge Aquatic Centre.
As an Aquatics Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the facility & swim school operations. You will oversee commercial performance, safety, program delivery, standards, and day-to-day operations of the venue, whilst ensuring a welcoming and productive environment for team members and customers alike.
Your responsibilities will include: Operational Leadership: Oversee safety, service standards, and daily operations to ensure a welcoming and productive environment for both team members and patrons.Commercial Leadership: Accountable for all product lines, including Learn to Swim, squads, café, retail, and additional revenue streams, contributing to the overall success of the venue.Program Management: Oversee the delivery of high-quality swim lessons for all age groups and skill levels, from babies to squad-ready swimmers.Team Oversight: Accountable for the facility team with the support of your HOD team, focusing on their performance and development while fostering a positive and engaging work environment.Collaboration: Report directly to the General Manager of City Aquatics and work closely with the wider Facility Manager team, CVMs Site Support team and your HOD team to drive overall venue success.Community Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with the school, community, parents, and children, serving as a vital link between the community and aquatic programs.Duty Management: Actively participate in the Duty Manager roster, working a mix of shifts, including weekday opens, closes, and weekend shifts, where the business needs.All About You What does it take to join City Aquatics as an Aquatics Manager?
Operational Experience: Solid experience in a customer-facing role, with confidence in managing various tasks, including commercial responsibilities. Experience in the aquatic and learn to swim industry is desirable.Approachable Demeanor: Known for being friendly, calm, and approachable, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenges.Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring nothing goes unnoticed.Safety Focus: A strong commitment to safety, driving high standards to maintain a secure environment for staff and patrons.Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing teams, assisting with recruitment, payroll, and daily operations.Development Champion: A commitment to training and development, actively supporting your team's growth.Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a willingness to support both staff and members.Team Player: Enjoy working collaboratively, aiming high, and constantly seeking ways to improve and develop skills.Positive Attitude: Leading by example, having fun while working, and striving to do the right thing.Our Culture: A Place to Thrive At City Venue Management (CVM), our success hinges on our people.
