The role -
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.The Senior Corporate Lawyer will play a key role in supporting the Business's growth and legal needs by providing high-quality independent legal advice.
With an increased demand across divisions and services, the position will focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, including new laws across financial services, insurance and privacy regulations, and assisting with the implementation of these legal requirements.
Additionally, the Senior Corporate Lawyer will engage with key stakeholders to ensure the legal work aligns with strategic objectives and offer commercial solutions to business challenges.
What experience you'll bringPrerequisites/Qualifications:Bachelor of Laws degreeMinimum 8 years PAE (either in-house, private practice or equivalent commercial legal experience)Current QLD Practising CertificateStrong knowledge and experience of Technology is preferredKnowledge of insurance and financial services regulations, ASIC, and APRA standards is preferred, but not essentialExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsExpertise in complex multi-party contracts, outsourcing, white-label distribution, procurement, privacy/data protection law, and litigation is beneficialResponsibilities:Independently manage legal transactions from start to finish, including stakeholder relationshipsAdvise on commercial and corporate matters, including Technology, IP, Privacy, Corporations Law, M&A, and financial services regulationReview and draft contracts for procurement, outsourcing, and white-label agreementsGuide strategic commercial negotiations to achieve sustainable outcomes and mitigate risksIdentify legal risks with the Business and recommend appropriate actionsBuild trust with key stakeholders and foster strong internal relationshipsCollaborate within the Legal Team to maintain a positive, high-performance cultureLocation: ToowongConveniently based at Toowong Village tower with views of the mountains and the Brisbane River, our location is only 4 km from the city and provides access to retail, restaurants and other amenities.Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.Our Perks - The benefits of working at A&GCelebrate the wins
