Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with effective communication skills to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit as a Senior Research Manager for a Fixed Term 12 Month's Maternity Leave Cover.
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department is the largest in Victoria and second largest in Australia.
The Department provides consultative and operative services on an elective and emergency basis for patients requiring advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical care.
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department enjoys a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders having access to internal resources to enhance and provide expertise across many disciplinary services.
Your New Role: This is a fixed term (12 Month's) full-time position, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.
The role of the successful applicant will be responsible for developing, leading and coordinating a research team to undertake all interdisciplinary research projects and function as a clinical resource for specialist cardiothoracic surgical services, such as clinical trials, quality assurance activities and research undertaken to generate, translate and disseminate evidence to improve practice and patient outcomes.
Ensure accurate reporting on the ANZSCTS Database, and experience in Audit.
About You: Substantial experience in clinical research, and a track record of appropriate publications and presentations at professional meetings.
Acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style.
Looking to expand your nursing skills and work with world leaders in Cardiothoracic Surgery and research and a passion for continued professional development.
