About the CompanyOur client is a leading advisory and consulting firm in Sydney, specialising in corporate reporting and risk advisory services. They are dedicated to fostering growth and success, supporting both their clients' goals and their team's professional aspirations.About the RoleReporting to the Risk Advisory Team, you will collaborate with Partners and Senior Management to handle internal audits, organisational reviews, and deliver expert advice to clients, particularly the NSW State Government agencies. Make a genuine difference in NSW and Australian communities by supporting transformation and uplifts across local and federal government bodies, not-for-profits, and private-sector clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a range of internal audits, organisational risk assurance, and process improvement projects, tailored to internal standards and practices.Prepare reports and collaborate closely with clients.Provide advice on enhancements to policies, procedures, processes, systems, and controls as part of the internal audit process.Engage in business development activities including attending events, networking, and presenting to potential clients.Develop roadmaps and statements of work for live projects to align client needs with new approaches and service offerings.Work closely with senior stakeholders to support organising workload schedules across the team.Guide junior staff through providing training and mentorship.Build strong client relationships to pursue future partnership ventures.Technical Skills & QualificationsRelevant tertiary education ideally in accounting or business-related degree; and any other relevant qualifications (or currently obtaining) such as CAANZ or IIA Membership.Solid background in basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000).Expertise in conducting internal audits of core financial processes and controls, along with auditing of operational processes.Experience in performing risk assessments, and reviewing risk management frameworks, among other related tasks.Proven track record collaborating with public sector, government and/or not-for-profit clients.Adept in ERM systems (such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Netsuite etc).Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.This is an exceptional opportunity for a Risk Advisory/Senior Risk Advisory Consultant to grow their career within a global advisory and consultancy firm.
