CHS Broadbent are seeking a qualified diesel mechanic to fill a full-time position, and work across our modern fleet of Kenworth and Mack trucks, as well as earthmoving and agricultural machinery.

Based in our Ballarat workshop you'll be working with some of the very best heavy vehicle diesel mechanics in the business, with an abundance of experience and knowledge to share.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for: Ensuring that all vehicles, trailers, plant and equipment are serviced and maintained within required timeframesProvide leadership and guidance to apprentices with respect to all aspects of the workshop and look for opportunities to provide further on the job trainingDiagnostic and preventative maintenanceAttend to breakdowns (where required)Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including workplace health and safetyEnsure the maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up-to dateThe successful candidate will have: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and usesAnticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvementExcellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentCertificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (third or fourth year apprentice applications are also welcomed)What we will provide you: New facility and new equipment providedContinuous learning provided by well-known industry organisations (Kenworth, Cummins, Timken, Mack etc).Full uniform supplied and tool allowanceOpportunity to travel to other CHS Broadbent sitesCareer progression opportunitiesOur workshop isn't just a place of work, it is where we spend a large portion of our week.
