Join a Dynamic Team as a Medical Receptionist
About the Role: Randstad is excited to partner with leading healthcare facilities across Brisbane that are dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and creating personalised experiences for patients.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in fostering a welcoming and efficient atmosphere.
Your previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 6 months) will be invaluable in making every patient feel valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities: Greet patients, visitors, and guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel right at home.
Skillfully schedule and manage patient appointments, surgeries, and consultations with precision.
Register new patients, verify insurance details, and maintain accurate patient records with care.
Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide valuable information to callers with a friendly touch.
Collaborate with medical staff to deliver a seamless patient experience and ensure timely appointments.
Process billing information, collect payments, and issue receipts efficiently.
Manage patient accounts, invoicing, and payments, including Medicare and health fund billing, with integrity.
Safeguard sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Qualifications: Proficiency in Best Practice Software (or similar) is essential.
Additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a bonus.
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
An empathetic and compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus.
