Offer DescriptionAppointment will be at Level E: ProfessorBased in the Future Industries Institute at the Mawson Lakes campusFull-time, 3 year fixed term contractAbout the Role As a leading expert with an international reputation in research related to techno-economic analysis of clean energy technologies, the Professor will make a distinguished contribution to academic and industry-engaged research projects with the Future Industries Institute.
The Professor will enhance the research profile of FII through the development of a program of high impact and collaborative research, supported by competitive research grant funding.
Their areas of focus will include, but not be limited to, techno-economic and life cycle analysis related to emerging clean energy technologies.
The appointee shall exemplify an outstanding level of performance and will continue to make major and innovative contributions to research which are recognised nationally and internationally.
Core Responsibilities Maintain an exceptional contribution to the particular field of research, including substantial impact through the application of research outcomes and/or extremely high academic impact as evidenced by citation and publication in high impact journalsLead and conduct high quality independent and/or collaborative research that attains recognition at both national and international levelsLead high-performing inter-disciplinary research teams, and collaborate with researchers from other national and international universities and research entitiesLead major national and international competitive funding initiatives.Essential Skills and Experience A PhD qualification or equivalent industry experience in the relevant industry sector (two years minimum)Sustained levels of diversified research incomeEvidence of an ongoing and distinguished track record of high-quality publications which may include industry reports or contributions to policyEstablished significant and productive research collaborations with national and international partnersAbility to supervise graduate research students at a PhD levelGetting a great job working with the best is just the start.
