Senior Data & AI Cloud Architect, AWS Professional Services FSI Job ID: 2855774 | Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd
As a Senior Data & AI Cloud Architect in FSI for Data, AI/ML, and Generative AI, you will serve as a pivotal technology and strategic advisor for AWS's key FSI customers across the ANZ region.
This role will be part of ProServe Sales, requiring a deep understanding of AWS technologies, data architectures, AI/ML, and the broader technology ecosystem.
You will engage directly with CDOs, CDAOs, CTOs, and CIOs to drive strategic data and generative AI initiatives, ensuring that AWS services align with and enhance our customers' IT and business strategies.
Your expertise will help our customers enhance their innovation speed, IT efficiency, and the business value derived from their technological investments.
In this role, the candidate should have hands-on experience in planning and executing complex data & analytics engagements, architecting and implementing complex Cloud Native platforms, and providing consultancy.
This, coupled with cross-industry business acumen, will be used to guide and own the sales and delivery of ProServe engagements.
This role will partner with ProServe Sales and AWS Global Sales (AGS) to accelerate customer outcomes and AWS platform adoption.
Key job responsibilities Strategic Direction and Development:
Define and develop overall strategic direction for AWS customers and internal AWS teams designing, building, optimizing, transforming, or otherwise migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
Partner with AWS Account Manager and ProServe Sales on accelerating innovation, account strategy, and technical execution, aligning to increase business value through cloud adoption, covering people, processes, and technology aspects.
Engage with C-level executives to guide their strategic technology initiatives and support their data transformation journeys.
Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class data solutions and products built on AWS, while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations to enable them to become cloud advocates.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Drive the development of outcome-based business-IT solution proposals in collaboration with sales and solution architecture teams.
Act as the AWS executive technical sponsor for strategic customer initiatives, ensuring alignment with AWS's Global Service offerings and the customer's strategic goals.
Ensure that solutions across strategic programs adhere to AWS's enterprise architecture and security best practices and principles, and achieve intended business outcomes.
Mentor and lead internal teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge, sales, and delivery content amongst the AWS Professional Services community.
Partnership Development:
Engage with system integrators and strategic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) across various customer scenarios to enhance solution offerings.
Identify common patterns in customer needs to drive standardization and repeatability in AWS solutions.
About the team Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, provide collective experience from across the AWS customer base, and are obsessed about driving success for our customers.
Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, get the right solution delivered, and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience Experience in influencing C-level leadership, business and technical stakeholders, and peer groups, while driving enterprise-scale portfolios or programs in large organizations Proficiency in cloud technology value proposition, principles, and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms, and consumer facing technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Hands-on technical experience & expertise in technology automation, implementation, integration, and/or deployment.
Experience building data or machine learning pipelines, incl.
deep learning, GenAI, LLM, etc.
as well as hands on experience on AWS services like SageMaker and Bedrock.
Programming skills: Python, R, SQL, Java, Julia, Scala, Spark/Numpy/Pandas/scikit, JavaScript.
AWS certifications, AWS engagement delivery experience or other public cloud certifications.
