Government client seeks an experienced Contract Manager (Security Services) with responsibility for providing procurement and contract management oversight and support to the department's Office Building Security function.
The Contract Manager (Security Services) will be responsible for managing the security operational demands of the department, preparing for gradual increases in workforce return to office and increased security operational needs.
Contract Manager (Security Services) Opportunity Assignment duration is up to 12 months.
Early December start.About the Role Government department seeks an experienced Contract Manager with experience in office building security operations to join them on an assignment for a duration of up to a period of 12-month based in Melbourne CBD.
As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for providing procurement and contract management oversight and support to the department's Office Building Security function.
Key Accountabilities Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
Providing oversight, governance and support to the department's Security team on management of the existing security services Purchase Order Contracts (POCs) which are governed by the State Purchase Contract (SPC) for Security Services.Providing quality advice to staff regarding the operational and commercial aspects of the current contracting arrangements.Leading the Security function uplift program, focusing on improving the function's delivery processes and ensuring sound governance.Managing the procurement process for the future retendering of security services under the State Purchase Contract (SPC).Leading and coordinating the procurement and maintenance of out-of-scope security service items.Contributing to the monitoring of internal contract management systems and processes.Supporting the Senior Manager, Contracts and Procurement with the management, implementation and reporting of KPIs.Key Selection Criteria The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:
Demonstrated experience in procurement and master supplier contract management.Ability to influence and resolve commercial issues through negotiations.Experience in successfully driving supplier performance in an operations delivery environment.Experience in the implementation of contract management frameworks.Demonstrated ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders.Developed interpersonal and communication skills.Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Contract Management, Facilities Management or Procurement and/or significant experience in a similar role.Experience in property contract management or in shared service provision or government would be an advantage.How to Apply Please apply online using the appropriate link below forwarding a copy of your cover letter and resume highlighting your security services operations experience, your experience in contract management or government procurements, and your suitability for the role.
