Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services across the Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.
D4C is seeking a Civil Pipelayer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence across the Southern Region.
Primary Purpose: To join our crews to work on projects including, new developments, renewal projects, maintenance and capital projects in water, wastewater, and stormwater.
This includes trenching , working with live services, pit and pipe layout, lining, resurfacing, performing maintenance on existing assets and general labouring.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction pipelaying on water mains renewal or maintenance projects Be physically fit to complete all manual tasks required Proven experience laying a variety of different pipes, PVC, PE, Cast Iron, DICL Previous experience working in a small - medium size work team Construction industry - White Card NSW Drivers licence Desirable Skills: Plumbing Certificate III Poly EF and Buttwelding ticket Experience and knowledge with pipe bursting and slip lining methodologies Licence to perform dogging Experience working on fast paced civil utility projects in high traffic environments Mobile plant statements of attainments for Excavator, Rollers, Skid steers, Loaders etc.
Experience in similar role in most of the activities listed above and be able to provide references Be physically fit to complete all tasks required Heavy vehicle license (MR/HR) Control electrical risk on metallic pipes certification Key Accountabilities: Professional and courteous customer service capabilities to engage with customers on-site Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team to achieve contract goals and objectives.
Operating Monday to Friday– 7am start - 40 hours per week, you will also support capital work projects.
