With a commitment to long-term relationships and collaborative contracting setting us apart and through a team of over 2000 skilled professionals, BMD specialises in transformative infrastructure across diverse sectors.About the roleAs a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for the completion of the project on or under time, whilst ensuring a safe site is maintained and a quality product is constructed for delivery to the client. Projects will include minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects in the Brisbane area.DutiesArrangement of plant, labour and material resources for projectDirection and monitoring of sub-contractors, suppliers and plant hirersControl of survey requirementsDaily monitoring of activity costsMonitor compliance with safety and environmental requirementsMaintain compliance with construction programReport all non-conformances and assist recommendations for remedial workMaintain daily record of site activitiesEnsure clients' quality expectations are being met/exceeded (in accordance with specifications)Skills and qualificationsCertificate III in Civil ConstructionGood communication skills, attention to detail and strong sense of teamworkProven leadership skillsHave a thorough knowledge of the drawings, specifications and quality requirements for all site related activitiesMust have experience in minor civil infrastructure works and/or urban development projects (experience in shorting will be highly regarded)Proven ability to constantly deliver high-quality construction projects within budget and program constraintsThorough understanding of OHS and environmental requirementsWe offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
