Community Development (Community Services & Development)Full timeThe Social Impact Lead is a strategic and influential role focused on building a strong social license to further the Energy Transition.This position is dedicated to fostering trust and mutual respect between the organisation and local communities and stakeholders. You will navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, understand community values, and align organisation practices with societal expectations.Responsibilities:Work with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager to develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies to proactively address community concerns, expectations, and values.Identify and assess social and reputational risks associated with organisational activities, proposing mitigation strategies to minimise negative impacts on communities and the environment.Establish and nurture partnerships with community groups, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to support sustainable development initiatives and enhance our social responsibility.Set up and manage the Local Engagement Committee.Implement strategies for collecting community feedback on services and initiatives and prepare reports highlighting insights and recommendations for improvement.About You:5+ years experience in the Energy sector in corporate social responsibility in community relations, or sustainability roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing stakeholder relationships and developing community engagement strategies.Proven experience in social impact, stakeholder relations, community engagement, or related roles, preferably within the energy infrastructure or public policy sector.Strong knowledge of social licence principles and community benefit-sharing frameworks in the context of renewable energy.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, sustainability, public policy, or related fields.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion, particularly in engaging with diverse communities.Strong influencing qualities, with the ability to inspire and mobilise internal and external stakeholders towards shared goals.Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment, with a willingness to tackle challenges and embrace change.Full Australian rights and fluent English skills.
