Through our diverse portfolio, data-led decision-making, and nationwide development pipeline, we do things differently.We are Vicinity.Role PurposeThe key purpose of the Maintenance Officer is to work closely with the Operations Manager(s) to maintain the general up-keep of the centre(s) and to ensure a safe environment for retailers, customers, and the general public whilst maintaining the highest level of stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintenance of internal and external structures, carparks, signage, road works and gates.Maintaining maintenance and servicing of retailer facilities within centre including staff toilets & loading docks.Maintenance and presentation of centre malls & public facilities.Ensuring centre lighting maintained internal & external.Assist with Centre minor capital expenditure program.For more substantial works, the Maintenance Officer will ensure that suitably qualified contractors are engaged to carry out any maintenance and repairs.The Maintenance Officer will consistently and effectively:Actively promotes OHS within the workplace.Ensure customer and retailer safety.Ensure quality of work completed and time effectiveness of work.Ensure maintenance costs are within budgeted levels.Provide input into continuous improvement of relevant procedures & policies.What will you bring?You will have previous experience in general maintenance tasks coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.You will have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety and have had previous experience coordinating contractors within a maintenance environment.You are known for your responsiveness and efficiency to all maintenance activities and your positive attitude, which allows you to play a critical role in enhancing our customer experience.What will success look like?We Imagine a Better WayYou are always adaptable in your approach and responsive to the needs of your stakeholders.You are proactive, organised and efficient in everything you do.You proactively seek out new and innovative ways to resolve problems and improve customer outcomes.We Embrace DifferenceYou understand and show respect for the diversity of the Vicinity community.You understand the diverse nature of our business, our customers and our people.You respect all team members and challenge assumptions to support an environment where people feel confident and supported to be themselves.We Always CollaborateYou engage and communicate with your team, and key stakeholders consistently and effectively sharing information.You enjoy taking the time to build relationships in order to deliver effective customer service.You put our people and our customers at the centre of every conversation.Why Vicinity?Our benefits program focuses on creating an awesome place to work in which our people are rewarded and recognised.
