About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Lecturer in Behavioural Health to play a key role in shaping the academic experience within the Counselling Programs at the College.
This position will involve the development of engaging and innovative teaching materials, the delivery of high-quality instruction, and the coordination of teaching activities within a range of postgraduate courses.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, delivery, and administration of the curriculum, with a strong focus on enhancing the student experience.
As a Lecturer in Behavioural Health, you will independently lead teaching initiatives while advancing the scholarship of teaching.
Your expertise in innovative teaching practices and the use of emerging technologies will be pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of education.
In addition to delivering engaging lectures, you will be involved in assessments, student consultations, and providing ongoing support to foster academic success.

About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
Completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification in counselling or mental health
Registration or professional membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Experience of significant teaching and learning experience and excellence at a tertiary level
Evidence of successful and independent innovation in learning and teaching delivery or design, including use of e-learning technologies
Demonstrated contribution to academic quality assurance processes, such as topic or course reviews.
Experience with engagement within a relevant external professional domain and within a wider community context at local, national, or international level which could include working parties, committees, professional associations and conferenced workshops.
