We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Projects team as a Project Manager on a permanent full-time basis.

Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) provides an essential service, connecting regional Australia to national and international markets as a specialist port catering to boutique and diverse operations.
MWPA operates seven (7) commercial berths and critical marine and land assets which enable the facilitation of trade for the Mid West region, exporting a variety of products including iron ore, grains, mineral sands, non-mineral sands, and mineral concentrates.
The Port also imports fuel, fertiliser, and break bulk cargo.

About the Role Reporting to the Executive Manager Project, the Project Manager is to be committed to developing and achieving MWPA's integrated business objectives that deliver value to our stakeholders and ensure effective management systems are used and managed in accordance with legislative requirements and relevant Standards.
The Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of projects, coordinating efforts between different projects and stakeholders to deliver organisational goals.
To ensure compliance, the Project Manager will comply with the assurance and project management frameworks across all projects at the level relevant to the project complexity.
About You Key Qualifications and Experience (Selection Criteria items to be addressed in Covering Letter):
Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Project Management or Technical disciplineMBA preferred or equivalent business administration, management, or leadership experience in related fields.5+ years' experience as a project manager, across a range of operational and capital projects in an operations environmentExperience working in an engineering, trade, and/or IT projects environment.Experience in the use of Office 365, MS Project, Visio, ERP financial management systemsAdvanced communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict management and resolution.Analytical and strong organisational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent decision-making and leadership skillsStrong business acumen and risk management experience.Extensive stakeholder and resource management experience.Contract negotiation and managementProject cost control and financial assessment experienceAdaptability and flexibility in adapting to a changing environment.Sound knowledge of Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
