About the role:
The Faculty of Law is currently recruiting for an Associate Professor (Level D) to conduct high quality research and teach in our undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs.
As the Associate Professor, you will:
Contribute to subject and course development and teaching delivery Foster collegiate and effective team-work in the delivery of teaching Undertake research and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals and other appropriate outlets Develop a national and international (as appropriate) research profile Supervise Honours students and co-supervise Masters and Doctoral Students Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive relationships within the university, the profession and the community Participate in and contribute to the day-to-day work of the Faculty including participating in committees, events and engagement activities Apply for external grant funding and manage large grants and projects Provide leadership in subject and curricula review, redesign and development Lead research activities in their area of expertise developing the national and international research profile of UTS Law Work with junior colleagues to help build their research and teaching capacity in the Faculty About You:
We are looking for applicants with:
A Doctorate in Law, or related discipline A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor Knowledge of the law discipline, especially in relation to the faculty's core subjects.
An active research agenda and demonstrated excellence in learning and teaching within a law school.
What will you teach?
All teaching areas are needed and we have a particular interest in building our teaching teams in the following areas:
Real Property Administrative Law Technology and law Corporate and Commercial law subjects Base Salary Range: $175,059 to $191,905 pa (Level D) - Associate Professor
These roles attract 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
The positions are full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
