This is the perfect opportunity for you to shape a brighter wayWe're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 6 months
You will join a high-performing finance team to deliver timely and accurate property accounts for our client across owned Australian property assets.A snapshot of the role:Raising the land tax, council, and water invoices with a cover letter outlining the charges to the tenants as a tenant charge.Manage all queries, including tenants and clients relating to land tax, council, and water rates.Updating the land tax, council, and water rates tracker, including amendments to tenants moving in and out.Reviewing lease agreements to confirm that the tenant is liable for land tax, council, and water rates.Manage any write-off for land tax arrears.Attend client meetings and manage any queries/outcomes for land tax.Assist with GST reporting, reconciliation for balance sheet, tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations, and liaising with outgoings auditors when required.Sound like you?
This is what we're looking for:Tertiary education in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.Proven work experience in Accounts Payables and office administration support.Sound basic proficiency in Excel.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate as a team.Highly organised with demonstrated ability to prioritise tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.Prior experience dealing with volume-driven workload is desirable, but not essential.What you can expect from us:As an organisation, we don't just accept that we are a place of many different people, but we embrace it, we celebrate it, and we proactively support the needs that difference brings.
