Risk And Compliance Officer

Our client is a well known professional services organisation located in Brisbane with offices across Australia, they are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to join their business in a permanent basis to support their highly experienced Risk & Compliance Manager in implementing policies and best practices across the whole organisation.
Key responsibilities: Maintain the practice's Quality Management System (QMS) certification under ISO 9001:2015 Maintain the practice's policies and procedures in consultation with the relevant Shared Services teams and Practice Groups Observe internal processes and procedures, evaluate their effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement Manage all non-conformities Carry out internal audits Working with the business to review compliance obligations and identify and remediate control gaps.
Assisting the business to identify risks, including identification of risk causes, controls and development of action plans to address control gaps.
Assist with the validation of risk and compliance incidents.
Help with the response to business resilience.
Help the business with the respone modern slavery What we are looking for: The position interacts with all levels of stakeholder in the business and is expected to function with autonomy.
Experience in a quality management or auditing role and understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Understanding of risk management principles Experienced in conducting internal audits and developing audit processes Ability to work autonomously and the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Experience in the legal industry preferred but not necessary What you will get: Excellent remuneration Open door and inclusive culture Hybrid working arrangement Networking and social events Immediate start available for the right candidate Please APPLY immediately or send your CV at ******.
