Full timeWorking with our Sydney business, offering hybrid options full time (38 hours) Monday to Friday.We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Network Engineer who has experience working for an IT Systems Integrator or Managed Service Provider.This varied role focuses on providing technical support to customers including remedial maintenance support on Infrastructure, LAN and WAN Networks as well as the implementation of new projects.Key responsibilities of the role include:Producing high level and low-level network infrastructure design documentationComplying with Change Management processesAssisting in planning, scheduling and managing network infrastructure rolloutsImplementation of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, access pointsInstalling and configuring management toolingProviding on-site and remote support to customersProviding support and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, access pointsExpert knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologiesStrong understanding of network security principles and best practicesRecommending and assisting with the selection of relevant technologies and products for projectsActing as an escalation point, troubleshooting, analysing, and identifying hardware and network system faults, evaluate alternative solutions, determine and implement the solutionWho we are looking for:This is a customer-facing role which will need to have excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being highly technical.
The role requires a large amount of autonomy, so a candidate who has good time management and organisational skills will be heavily favoured.Technical skills required include:Cisco Certified Network Professional or higherDesign and implementation of 802.1X using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
