The position at Greater Western Water (GWW) focuses on enabling exceptional service delivery within a busy portfolio, with a primary emphasis on infrastructure-related capital delivery.
It is an integral part of the Infrastructure PMO Systems, Reporting & Assurance team which supports the Program and Project Managers responsible for the capital delivery program.
The role aims to enhance employee capabilities, improve systems and project management processes, and implement and improve tools while supporting the Growth & Infrastructure Group's efforts to prioritise customer satisfaction, high performance and employee development.
Importantly, the position will play a crucial role in implementing a Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) tool and developing the data model to integrate the PPM tool, reporting, and assurance.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of a Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) Tool Develop a continuous improvement roadmap for the PPM tool and analyse the required data and results to feed back into the continuous improvement plan.
Alignment of the Portfolio and Project Management Framework (PPMF) and the PPM tool Be the key contact for the vendor for support of the PPM tool in conjunction with GWW IT teams and troubleshoot issues within the PPM tool and workflows.
Manage the database for the PPM tool in collaboration with GWW IT teams, work with PMO functions to identify and collect necessary data fields and analyse the required data fields with technical subject matter experts.
Manage and uplift (as needed) the suite of other tools, including those utilising Sharepoint, PowerAutomate, Microsoft Forms and Jira, to support the PPMF and team processes Skills & Experience
Computer literacy in the broad Microsoft suite, including Forms, PowerAutomate and Sharepoint Industry recognised Business Intelligence (BI) tools e.g.
Tableau, MS Power BI Industry-recognised publishing tools e.g.
Desktop Publisher Project Management Systems (e.g.
PMO365) Experience in developing and managing Project and Portfolio Management systems.
Experience in managing and identifying gaps in data Relevant experience on major capital projects and programs Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written High level of analytical and numeracy skills Good presentation and facilitation skills Experience in working with Senior Management and significant external stakeholders e.g.
regulators.
