Welfare Recruitment Solutions have partnered with Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT) to assist in the recruitment of a Counsellor/Educator on a permanent 4 or 5 day/week basis.
The Role
The Counsellor/Educator provides counselling and psychoeducational support to adults and young people with disabilities, on an individual basis and in group settings on a range of matters including sexual health, sexuality, and family planning.
You will also work across other education and health promotion streams within SHFPACT's service offerings including school health education programs (primary school, high school, and college) and the SoSafe
program.
Requirements Australian Counselling Association or an accredited Registrant with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, or a person who is an AHPRA provisionally registered psychologist operating as a paid unsupervised practitionerExperience in providing counselling to a wide range of clients including those with disabilitiesExperience delivering health information and psychoeducation services to individuals, community groups, and professionals would be highly regardedUnderstanding of, and professional commitment to, promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights within a pro-choice, client-centred and comprehensive framework Further Info
In return, you will be offered a salary in the region of $110-112k + Super + NFP salary packaging benefits.
