PHP Full-Stack Developer - Mid to SeniorPartsCheck is an established and well-known provider of specialised automotive industry software. Our software is used by hundreds of businesses and thousands of users each day to not only form valuable connections but also enhance the way repair shops operate.From our Brisbane-based headquarters and satellite locations in Melbourne and Perth, we host a diverse team of skilled professionals from a variety of career and industry backgrounds, all dedicated to delivering exceptional tools and support for the repair industry.Innovate at the forefront of automotive techWe are looking for an experienced (Mid-Level or Senior) Full-Stack Developer to join our talented team.In this role, you will develop large scale web/database applications, working across all phases of the software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support. You will have the opportunity to work on continuous improvements to our existing applications as well as the re-development of our suite of core business applications.This is a hybrid role, where you will work out of our office in Seventeen Mile Rocks (near Darra) with the option for some remote work (initially one day per week).Your key responsibilities will include:Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable codeMaintaining code quality, organisation, and automationIndependently troubleshooting, researching, and resolving challenging problemsGenerating comprehensive documentation throughout the software development process, from technical documentation for fellow developers through to end-user guides that are accessible to non-technical usersSupporting existing projects and meeting deadlinesAbout YouYou are our ideal new team member if you are experienced and proficient in:Full-stack development (5+ years) working with PHP, modern web frameworks and MySQLPHP and building RESTful APIsjQueryImplementing regular expression (RegEx) across different programming languages and understanding their unique RegEx flavours and limitationsSoftware development principles, design patterns, and best practicesAnd have the ability to:Construct complex regular expressions for pattern matching, data processing and data extractionInnovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfacesDevelop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfacesWork on multiple projects with multiple deadlinesAs our ideal candidate, you also are:A clear communicator, collaborating effectively with business users, project managers and other stakeholdersMethodical in nature, with a keen attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.Authorised to work in Australia (permanent working rights)Based in Brisbane and able to attend our office in Seventeen Mile RocksAlthough not required, it would be highly regarded if you also had:Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud infrastructure is preferred but not requiredExposure to SCM tools such as GitFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and tools
