Kenworth trucks have dominated the heavy duty truck market in Australia for many years and are the market leading brand.
DAF is a modern technologically advanced European truck, manufactured by Paccar, who are the parent company of Kenworth trucks.
We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family-owned business which has been operating for over 90 years and now employs over 2,000 employees across South Australia and Victoria.
About the roleThis role will lead a profitable parts team and will manage the day to day operations required to ensure its continued success by meeting both internal and external customer needs.
This role provides an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to further grow the team and develop new business opportunities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablish specific marketing and merchandising programs for parts inventory to achieve sales and profit targetsAnalyse market potential for all of the parts department servicesOversee and maintain with maximum accuracy all clerical functions within the parts division, including receipting of stock, back orders and accounts payableControl and maintain parts inventory, manage stock adjustments and stock order amendments as necessarySupervise and coordinate the annual physical stocktake of the parts departmentEnsure manufacturer relationships are maintained to the highest standards at all timesConduct regular briefings and tool box meetings for parts departmentProvide direction and support for parts team to achieve key performance targetsBuild and maintain a sound client base promoting high levels of service and commitment to ensure maximum customer satisfaction (CSI)Attend to key accounts personally to ensure customer satisfaction and retentionEstablish and maintain formal follow up systems of existing and prospective customersAssist customers with the compilation of quotations and tenders when necessaryWe are looking for someone who:Has previous experience managing a large Parts team either in the automotive or heavy vehicle industryHolds a certification in Parts InterpretingDemonstrated experience in business developmentHas excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossesses strong commercial acumen and marketing skillsSound computer and administrative skillsDemonstrated leadership abilityWhat's on Offer:Fully maintained company vehicle, laptop, mobileStrong team with supportive management structureDiscounted health and income support insurancesIf you have the skills and experience necessary and want to become an important part of our successful team, then please click applyto submit your cover letter and resume.
