We achieve these outcomes by applying a commercial focus, and by building mutually respectful and productive partnerships with Indigenous Australians, government, non-government and private sector organisations.About the roleThe Director, Investments & Asset Management, reports to the Executive Director, Products and Markets, and leads a geographically dispersed team of staff to assist First Nations organisations and communities to participate in commercial ventures that make a measurable contribution to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander self-sufficiency. As a member of IBA's senior leadership team, the position is required to contribute to the management of the organisation, and liaise with Commonwealth, state and territory agencies, private companies, and First Nations organisations to aid the economic development of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Australians.What you'll bring to the teamExcellent leadershipStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working alongside First Nations organisationsCommercial acumen and experience in provision of capital productsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailWhat you will get in returnA values-based organisation that drives financial inclusion and economic empowerment with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.15.4% employer contribution to superannuation.Not-for-profit status, with access to Salary Packaging.4 weeks annual leave, with half pay annual leave and purchased leave available.Christmas close down without leave deduction.Flexible working hours.18 days personal/carers leave.Cultural CapabilityAwareness and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander societies and culture.Ability to liaise and communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.Applications close: 12pm on 25 November 2024
