This is a short-term engagement (start Feb 2025 to end April 2025) to conduct a review of the Startup Year pilot program implementation for a large Federal Government department.
Assignment Overview1 labour-hire position is availableExecutive Level 2 or SES Band 1 levelPaying between $95-$130ph + superContract term: 10-12 weeksTo commence: end Jan or start Feb 2025Based in Canberra (preferred), Sydney or Melbourne (with the ability to WFH most days)The RoleResponsible for the end-to-end delivery of the review, including engaging with stakeholders and collecting data through interviews, focus groups, and other means, and managing all logistics.
After gaining access to existing information about the pilot program implementation, including a desktop review conducted by the department, the successful candidate will collate and analyse all of the available data and provide a written review/report including options to support the successful take-up of the program for the department to consider.
The candidate will be a senior leader who works collaboratively with department staff to complete the review, which will be internal to government.
Findings and recommendations from the review will be used to inform next steps and guide implementation for a full rollout of the Startup Year program.
A review of the implementation of the Startup Year Program pilot is required to:
Develop policy and administrative settings to lift take-up of Startup Year coursesEnsure the Startup Year program meets current and future needs of universities, students, and the startup ecosystemReview and assess the program's design, efficiency, resourcing requirements, outcomes, impact, and any lessons learned.Our Ideal PersonApplicants are expected to:
