An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a well-established and trusted boutique firm.
Gain exposure to a wide range of industries through a diversified portfolio of individuals and businesses.
The firm serves the community by offering business advisory services, tax assistance, financial planning, trust management, and superannuation fund management.
The role
The position reports to the two Directors and is responsible for providing accounting support to clients, with the opportunity to supervise a Junior Accountant.
This role is ideal for a well-rounded Intermediate Accountant who is committed to advancing their professional development and eager to grow with the firm.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs.
Prepare financial reports such as BAS.
Act as an effective point of contact for clients.
Keep up to date with standards and regulations for compliance.
Supervise Junior Accountants from time to time.
Liaise with the ATO and other third parties when required.
What do you need to succeed?
Proven experience working in an Accounting position ideally from public practice.
Experience with MYOB or Xero.
Eagerness to succeed and grow within a company.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Confidence in speaking with clients.
