We are constantly learning, embracing the challenges of today and excited by the opportunities that tomorrow will bring.The roleWe're seeking an experienced Digital Engineer to join our Liveable Water Solutions group and contribute to the Centre of Excellence for digital spatial and infrastructure models.Reporting to the Digital Engineering Manager, the Digital Engineer will work within the digital engineering team responsible for digitising our spatial and infrastructure assets through collaboration with other work groups and business functions.
This role contributes to the functional and technical aspects of digital engineering and its governance across the group by supporting the development and implementation of the digital engineering strategy, framework, and roadmap.
The role also includes collaborating with and assisting stakeholders and colleagues across the business through a matrix structure, helping to increase the organisation's maturity in digital engineering.These are some of the exciting things you can expect to be involved in:Providing leadership in delivering key digital engineering initiatives at SEW, driving the vision and mentoring project teams.Supporting the creation of a Centre of Excellence for digital engineering, establishing best practices and training programs.Contributing to the digital engineering strategy and implementation plan, delivering key initiatives and reporting progress.Developing digital information requirements for capital delivery projects.Serving as a technical lead for digital engineering initiatives.Managing digital engineering and asset information systems.Deliver technology enhancements, collaborating with external service providers on technology projects to implement Common Data Environment, Virtual and Augmented Reality, 3D, 4D & 5D asset models, and Digital Twins.Who are you?You're an experienced Digital Engineer with a deep knowledge of digital engineering governance, processes and technology, with demonstrated experience in successfully implementing these in a capital project environment.
Our ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills, experience and knowledge:A tertiary qualification in engineering or science - essential.Demonstrated experience working on cross functional multidiscipline improvement projects - essential.Knowledge of information systems, particularly the operation and maintenance of asset data with relevance to water, sewerage and recycled water assets.Working knowledge of water, sewerage and resource recovery infrastructure.Proficiency in digital engineering tools and software, including GIS, BIM, and CAD systems.Proficiency in platforms such as IBM Maximo, Autodesk, Bentley and Revizto.Advanced data analysis and visualisation skills.Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to digital engineering.Experience with cloud computing and data storage solutions.Familiarity with IoT applications in engineering.Demonstrated leadership, management, and stakeholder engagement capability as well as sound negotiation and communication skills.What's in it for you?A commitment to work-life balance with truly flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working and leave purchasing.15 weeks paid parental leave for all parents and paid super on unpaid parental leave.A range of benefits, including free on-site parking and cultural leave.A great culture working in collaborative teams with strong work ethics.Career focused learning and development opportunities.The opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to environmental initiatives.Enjoy modern office facilities with panoramic beachfront views.We're for everyoneWe do meaningful work, but how we do it is just as important.
