We are a small dual jurisdictional law practice that practices in many areas of law ultimately assisting our clients with most legal issues and problems including Criminal Law, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates and general legal advice.

About the Role An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a newly admitted Junior Lawyer to gain invaluable experience as part of a team that has been providing well regarded expert legal services in and to Queanbeyan since 2006.
The successful candidate will be required to work in our Queanbeyan office and when required represent clients in Courts in the local Queanbeyan and Canberra Region.
We want our employees to grow with our firm and expect the successful candidate to have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong client service ethic and to genuinely assist and guide clients through their legal matter.
This position is for a Junior Lawyer who wishes to join the firm and remain with us for the long term in order to develop their skills and practice as a solicitor.
The firm's primary interest is its clients' rights and entitlements, and the firms legal professionals are required to develop and maintain the necessary legal knowledge and experience to achieve this purpose.
Qualifications & experience Admission as a Solicitor.Current practising certificate or ability to immediately obtain.Genuine interest in clients.Verbal communication, common sense, and pragmatism.Ability to connect with, and relate, to clients.Ability to handle pressure.Writing skills and the ability to draft concise written submissions and other documents.Current licence and access to motor vehicle.A committed team player who is also capable of working autonomously.Good flexible working environment.Develop knowledge and experience in the law and in general legal practice.Exposure to a variety of areas of law.A supportive team environment.The chance to develop a client base.Supported exposure to court appearances.Working with an accredited Specialist and a driven / supportive team of lawyers and support staff.To apply
