THE ROLE
The Senior Emergency Management Coordinator supports the Manager, Emergency Management to develop, maintain, and coordinate divisional and regional planning and response for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing surge capacity, emergency relief, recovery operations, and business continuity.

The role requires the establishment and maintenance of strong networks and relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders and assists in the coordination of emergencies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Plan, implement, and manage a range of policy initiatives and programs that improve the lives of Victorians most at risk in emergencies, as well as completing policy reviews which provide recommendations within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex policy and issues.
Monitor and report on high priority issues, risks, and trends and prepare and present reports and briefs.
COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice , given their individual circumstances.
As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
