First Aid Trainer

Working under the direction of the Training manager and supporting the Senior Manager of Clinical Services, this role will take on training, assessment, and delivery of nationally recognised units of competence including Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Provide First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation and oxygen therapy, Advanced First Aid. This position is responsible for the welfare of the students enrolled into such courses throughout their educational process.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Salary up to $48.50 per hour Deliver nationally recognised courses from the health training package both in Belmont, Perth, and external locations. Maintain required records of the assessment process, outcomes, and student progress, ensuring compliance standards are met. Maintain up to date technical, vocational and industry knowledge as determined by accrediting bodies and registered training organisation (RTO) Business Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Maintain a high level of confidentiality, ethical behaviour, and professional image. Always adhere to and role model the Company values & policies. Take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and others, and report hazards and incidents. Comply with Wilson Medic One and the Wilson Group HSE Policies and Procedures. Comply with Customer contractual obligations. ABOUT YOU: You are a team player and will work towards common objectives, deadlines, and set KPIs. Your caring and compassionate nature will support your patients with empathy, care, and dignity. You can work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Ability to maintain confidentiality. High level administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Well organised and skilled in communicating with people. Experience as an educator/trainer/assessor. Minimum of one (1) year experience in healthcare/event health setting. Strong knowledge and experience of the subject matter. Relevant training and vocational qualifications. Understanding of compliance requirements relating to training, RTOs, patient transportation, and drug protocols as relevant to job task(s). QUALIFICATION: Minimum of HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid and HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy. TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Valid Working with Children's check. HLT21020 Certificate II Medical Service First Response qualification, or above, is desirable. HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing desirable.
