An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Coding Liaisons to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Coordinate the Coding Quality Program to ensure objectives are metExpand and contribute to the continual improvement of the service's Clinical Liaison Model with the aim to improve clinical documentation and coding qualityAnalyse, validate and reconcile coded information using appropriate information management and business intelligence toolsProvide expert advice in the interpretation of coded data with regards to performance reporting and benchmarking initiativesAbout you To be successful in this position you will require:
While not mandatory, completion of a Diploma in Clinical Coding or relevant qualification (for example, HIMAA or OTEN clinical coding course) OR a Bachelor of Health Information is strongly preferred.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)About Us Clinical Coding works in partnership with clinical service lines to enhance their understanding of patient activity counting, clinical coding, and the importance of data quality and clinical documentation.
