Permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE) roleCommencing January 2025Educator with IB experience requiredPresbyterian Ladies' College (PLC) Melbourne is a leading ELC-Year 12 Christian independent school for girls offering both the VCE and International Baccalaureate.PLC has an outstanding academic tradition, an international focus and strong pastoral and co-curricular programs focusing on encouraging leadership, service and life-long personal development and learning.The RoleCommencing at the start of the 2025 School Year, the Chinese Teacher is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position.The incumbent will need to be adaptable, working around 22.8 hours spread across five days each week.As part of the workload, the Chinese Teacher must be a proficient teacher of Year 11 and 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) classes.About YouYou will be a confident and forward-thinking teacher of Chinese, with sound IB teaching experience (5+ years).You are passionate about your field of teaching, and can confidently guide, develop and nurture our students' love of learning, whilst also understanding the need for strong classroom practice and the maintenance of high standards amongst our students.You will be committed to the Presbyterian College values and Christian ethos and be able to relate well to students, colleagues and parents.If this sounds like an opportunity of interest, please introduce yourself to us.PLC is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for all of its staff, where they feel welcomed, safe and respected.All staff must commit to a culture that supports and embraces Child Safe Standards.
