The National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) is seeking a compliance and customer focussed financial markets professional for the role of Manager, Admissions – Companies and Participants.
In this role you will be assisting the CEO convert leads into admissions with a primary focus on company listings to grow NSX's number of listed entities.
You will focus on onboarding issuers in accordance with the NSX Listing Rules and relevant aspects of the Corporations Act.
The role will also include the onboarding of brokers and nominated advisers.
As part of finalising these outcomes, you will also provide administrative support to the Listing and Admissions Committee with the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes and resolution requirements.
You will also be required to support the COO with reviews and drafting responses to regulatory and market consultations, rule changes and regulatory notices.
This will require maintaining an ongoing relationship with ASIC, Treasury and industry bodies.
Working in a small team within a dynamic environment, you will also be required to work on projects from time to time and actively participate to identify and own process improvement initiatives to deliver ongoing efficiencies to the business.
This is a full-time role located in Sydney CBD or Perth CBD and suits a candidate with a legal degree and an understanding of the Australian equity market.
Key Responsibilities In this role you will be managing the admissions process by supporting the business perform the following functions:
Admissions – listings, brokers and nominated advisers Maintain a pipeline of admissions prospects as directed by executive management.Execute the process of listing admissions from initial enquiry, through suitability, application receipt until a decision is made by the Exchange, including the co-ordination with the Listing and Admissions Committee.Execute the process of admission, management and review of Participants and Nominated Advisers.Support and coordinate leads and information request from the CEO.Maintain cohesive application and admission documentation, file structures and conventions to ensure consistency and ease of access.Review operational processes and procedures as they pertain to the admissions process, with the view to making continuous efficiency improvements.In consultation with executive management draft amendments to existing and new Exchange Rules, Procedures and Policies as may be required from time to time.Contribute to drafting of regulatory, political and industry consultations, policy updates and specific research assignments.Ensure that the Exchange delivers exceptional, professional client service throughout the admissions process.Produce regular management reports on pipeline, status of admissions, consultations and research tasks as directed by executive management.General Participate in projects across the organisation as required, including the ownership of certain initiatives to deliver continuous improvements.Provide input on business initiatives, systematic changes and technology implementations as required.Represent NSX at events, seminars and industry forums from time-to-time.Assist other departments with certain back-up functions from time-to-time to cover leave absences.Requirements 7+ years of relevant financial markets experience across compliance, regulation, admissions/customer onboarding, operations.University degree in law is highly desirable.
A degree in commerce, economics or finance will be considered.A solid understanding of market trading activities, regulated market actions, corporate actions and financial market practice.A sound knowledge of capital markets, equities, trading, clearing and settlement and market surveillance practices.An in-depth understanding of exchange Listing Rules, Operating Rules and relevant aspects of the Corporations Act.Enjoy working collaboratively with multiple functions and stakeholders to deliver a common goal.Highly analytical, investigative and problem-solving abilities.Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines whilst dealing with multiple tasks.Excellent written, oral, presentation communication skills and a high standard in quality and accuracy.Customer focussed, with a compliance mindset.Ability to take initiative to self-educate in a dynamic work environment.Results driven – to deliver personal outcomes and team performance.Confident and decisive – can make quick but considered decisions under pressure.Manage high intensity situations – remains calm but focussed under pressure.About the National Stock Exchange of Australia The National Stock Exchange of Australia is the second largest stock exchange licensed in Australia for corporate listings.
