TheWomen's National Basketball League (WNBL) is preparing to embark on a transformative journey to enhance its visibility, engagement, and impact on the sports landscape, from April 2025.
With a commitment to fostering growth and innovation, the NBL Group aims to elevate the WNBL to new heights, building on a legacy of excellence while creating sustainable opportunities for athletes, fans, and communities across Australia.
What You'll Do AsCompliance Officer, you'll be responsible for upholding the WNBL's standards for integrity, compliance, and ethical conduct.
Reporting to the WNBL Chief Executive Officer and the NBL Chief Corporate & Governance Officer, you'll work closely with Basketball Australia and WNBL Clubs, ensuring adherence to the National Integrity Framework and maintaining a fair and transparent environment across the league.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Integrity Management Develop and oversee compliance with WNBL policies and operational standardsManage investigations and resolution of compliance breachesServe as primary contact for integrity and compliance mattersConduct annual policy reviews and updatesStakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with BA Integrity Unit and WNBL ClubsManage grievance processes and dispute resolutionCoordinate with Game Review Panel and Tribunal operationsGame Day & Operations Act as primary contact for game day escalationsSupport operations team with compliance and security mattersParticipate in weekly round reviewsMonitor and report integrity issues in real-timeWhat You Bring Proven experience in compliance, integrity, or governance roles, preferably within sports or regulatory environmentsDemonstrated experience managing integrity frameworks and implementing compliance policiesTrack record of managing investigations, disputes, and grievance processesStrong understanding of sports integrity and compliance frameworks, with basketball/sport knowledge highly regardedExperience working with multiple stakeholders in a complex regulatory environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to handle sensitive mattersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detailExperience in policy development, implementation, and educational program deliveryWhy Join Us?
