Contract:1 year contract
Essential Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Ecology, Conservation Biology or equivalent
Core Capabilities and Experience:

Has demonstrated experience in the coordination and delivery of threatened species recovery projects.
Has demonstrated experience in working with and empowering the community to deliver recovery actions for threatened species.
Has a good working knowledge of flora ecology and the principles and practices used to recover threatened flora species.
Demonstrated experience and passion for maintaining a good working knowledge of species of conservation concern.
Understands government policy, guidelines and legislation relating to threatened species recovery and biodiversity conservation.
Has good written and verbal communication skills to convey biodiversity conservation information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrates a fundamental and current understanding of a diverse range of species identification, survey and monitoring methodologies.
Maintains an up to date and sound knowledge of threatened species recovery processes, including the role of recovery teams and associated project management (planning, financial management, procurement, risk management, communication, implementation, reporting and review).
Special Conditions:

May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties, including emergency operations such as bush fire suppression activities, commensurate with their fitness and training levels.
This may require some out of hours work including participation in an 'on call' roster.
A current class "C" driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Intrastate travel including overnight absences may be required.
May be required to work alone in a field environment.
Remuneration: PO2, $88,255 min - $97,667 max p.a.
