About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary part-time, 64 hours per fortnight, 12 months commencing 02/02/2025 to 02/02/2026.
The Role:
To provide medical leadership, oversight, and administration of the Medical Oncology Clinical Trials service.
This role includes a dedicated trials administration day and a full day trial's patient clinic each week.
To provide patients a medical service in accordance with the standard of the specialty and the ethics of the profession.
To provide a service in accordance with Hospital and Division policies.
To provide for the optimal development of specialist expertise for Registrars and Resident Medical Officers assigned to the Consultant.
This includes evaluation and feedback on performance.
The consultant is accountable for the responsible and economical use of equipment, consumables, and drugs.
To utilise and ensure compliance with contemporary human resources management practices and principles including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination requirements.
To provide medical oncology services closer to home for rural and remote patients.
What's on offer:
Generous remuneration package value up to $452,139 p.a.
comprising: Salary range of $100.78 to $127.77 p.h.
(L18-L27).
4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading.
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary).
Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a.
+ 3.6 weeks p.a.
leave.

Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme:
Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).
Role Requirements:
Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
Probation period may apply.
