Our services include NDIS disability services, out of home care, services for seniors, children's services and a range of therapeutic and community service offerings.
About the role: Our Clinical Care Program is aimed to provide greater access to mental health services for people living with complex and enduring mental illnesses and have a range of psychosocial needs on the NSW Central Coast.
This program engages a range of mental health professionals to provide a suite of services to people that would otherwise have little or no access to such services.
As a Specialist Lead , you will provide coordinated clinical care for people with severe and complex mental illness.
The care will be delivered in line with a GP Mental Health treatment plan or equivalent, developed by a GP or Psychiatrist.
With the assistance of the Practice Manager, you will oversee policies and procedures aligned with the needs of the program.
This is a leadership role and will involve supervising a team which consists of a Case Worker and a Support Worker.
Together the team will deliver person-centred holistic supports to clients on their mental health journey.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Tuggerah, with a requirement to travel and visit clients on the Central Coast.

Key responsibilities: Good working knowledge of mental health, local networks, legislation and practices.
Demonstrate excellent skills in implementing strategies that promote emotional and developmental well-being in people who are experiencing ongoing, complex mental health disorders.
Leading, supervising and mentoring a small team.
Building relationships and collaborating with external stakeholders to provide a holistic approach to support for clients.
Writing detailed and informed case notes based on the needs of clients.
Ensuring compliance with incident management, reporting and escalation requirements and that organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding and WHS are met.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area e.g.
: Mental Health Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Work qualification with mental health.
Experience leading and supervising a team, with a strong ability to build an effective engaged team with a positive work culture.
Experience working in a client-centred, trauma-informed and culturally specific way.
Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of current Child Protection, Crimes (Domestic and Personal Violence) Act 2007 and other relevant legislation.
Demonstrated networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in best practice audits with the ability to manage changing practices.
