Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Support Officer to join a leading Federal Government agency.
This is a temporary position for a period of 3 months with potential extension.
Hourly Rate $46.39
ABOUT THE TEAM The Legal Support Officer will provide a range of specialist and general administrative support services to Federal Prosecutors.
The team is focused on delivering timely, quality services to support the day-to-day needs of the legal practice and has a physical presence in each office.
PRIMARY OUTCOMES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES The Legal Support Officer (LSO) is responsible for providing a range of specialist and general legal support services to the legal practice.
Working in some of the CDPP's smaller regional locations, the LSO will also provide general office and property management services.
Working under limited supervision, they will liaise with staff and utilize a range of administrative, legal, and digital litigation tools and systems to support the analysis and management of cases, draft routine workplace documents, emails, and other correspondence.
Primary responsibilities of this position include: Office administration activities (including financial management, procurement, facilities management, property, administration, and security administration).Case administration and court preparation activities.Business and digital litigation systems support.Court liaison and diary management.Executive support including secretariat services.Records management.Building rapport and maintaining internal and external relationships.Responding to enquiries and providing accurate advice in a timely manner.Identifying and escalating issues to senior team members.Undertaking appropriate learning and development activities as required.Key attributes required for this position include: Strong focus on delivery in a professional services environment.Provide appropriate advice in an area of professional or technical specialization.Strong attention to detail.Actively respond flexibly and positively to work changes and shifting priorities.Well-developed time management skills.Excellent collaboration skills - within the team and internal and external stakeholders.Actively participates in decision-making and identifies potential solutions for key problems.Excellent application of judgement, initiative, and drive.The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and will be required to complete a minimum Baseline Security Clearance with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
