We've developed a unique method to provide risk financing and management solutions for Local Government clients.
JLT works with mutual funds in particular, demonstrating this ability to work innovatively with our clients to produce effective solutions designed to protect their assets, people, and community.
We proudly service over 500 Local Government organisations across Australia.
Our Perth team manages a not-for-profit industry-based mutual indemnity scheme (LGISWA) owned by 145 Western Australia local governments and focused on meeting their unique requirements.

Technical Manager, Workers Compensation Claims Management
What can you expect?
This opportunity involves managing a team and a selected portfolio of Workers Compensation claims.
This role requires the Technical Manager to deliver high-quality people management and claims management services, working collaboratively with the clients and their immediate and broader claims team to produce cost-effective outcomes for the scheme.
In turn, this brings the best outcome and timely settlement of claims.

We will count on you to:
Deal efficiently with client enquiries Contribute to planning and delivery of relationship management through regular and constructive communications with clients.
Visit clients and legal providers regularly Provide end-to-end claims and technical management Submit claims reports as required Continuously work towards professional development by attending external and internal sessions Ensure compliance with Claims Reference Guide including Reinsurance Claims Management Agreement requirements Work effectively with your team, internal and external stakeholders Manage your immediate team to provide efficient and productive results.
What you need to have (highly desirable):
Legal background in working with workers compensation claims Extensive knowledge and insurance claims experience in Workers Compensation and claims Experience in the interpretation of relevant acts in making liability decisions Management of complex claims Demonstrate initiative and understanding when managing confidential information Management of teams.
